Tsiaukoo Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy applies to the Tsiaukoo Android App and the www.tsiaukoo.com website used to publish this policy. The App is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. It does not provide emergency services.

2. Data handled by the App

Depending on the features the user chooses, the App may process the following data on the device:

• Care recipient display names.
• Meal status, intake percentage, summaries, notes, and timestamps.
• Nutritional supplement names and servings.
• Water intake.
• Weight.
• Systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
• Meal photos explicitly selected by the user.
• Care targets, schedules, and feature settings.
• Language, display mode, text size, and the currently selected care recipient.
• The time of the most recent successful backup export.

The App does not require an account and does not ask the user to provide an email address, phone number, street address, or government-issued identifier.

3. How data is used

The data is used only to provide user-selected features, including daily care status, care records, history and trends, and user-initiated creation or restoration of an encrypted local backup.

The App does not use this data for advertising, user tracking, credit assessment, automated medical decisions, or data brokerage.

4. On-device storage and transmission

Care records, preferences, and meal photos saved by the App are stored in the App's private storage. The App currently has no Tsiaukoo account system, backend server, cloud synchronization, advertising SDK, or analytics SDK. The App does not actively transmit care data to Tsiaukoo.

The mobile operating system or device manufacturer may process App data according to the user's system backup settings. Such system services are managed by the applicable platform provider under its own policies and are not synchronization services operated by Tsiaukoo.

5. Photo access

The App opens the system photo picker only when the user chooses to attach a meal photo. A selected photo is copied into the App's private storage. The original remains under the user's photo library controls. The App does not scan the full photo library in the background.

6. Encrypted backups and external services

The user may create an encrypted .carenest backup file. A backup may contain the database and meal photos previously attached by the user, and is encrypted with a password entered by the user.

• The backup password is not stored or transmitted to Tsiaukoo.
• Tsiaukoo cannot recover or reset the backup password.
• The user chooses where the backup file is stored.
• If the user stores the backup in Google Drive, another cloud service, external storage, or a messaging service, that provider handles the file under its own policy. The user should review the provider's privacy and security settings.

7. Data sharing and sale

The App does not sell, rent, or provide care data, health-related data, photos, or backup contents to advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties. The App does not share this data unless the user independently exports a backup or uses device-provided features to move a file.

8. Retention and deletion

Data remains on the device until the user deletes an individual record, deletes a care recipient, or removes the App from the device. Deleting a care recipient also deletes associated records and meal photos saved by the App.

Backup files previously exported by the user are not affected by deletion within the App. The user must delete those files from their actual storage locations. Copies retained by an operating system or another service must be managed through that provider's settings.

9. Security

The App uses operating-system application isolation for local data and modern encryption for backups explicitly exported by the user. No storage method can guarantee absolute security. Users should protect device access, backup passwords, and backup files, and should avoid sharing them in untrusted environments.

10. Children's privacy

The App is a tool for family caregivers and is not directed primarily to children. It does not intentionally collect children's online account data. Caregivers should ensure they have appropriate authority before entering information about any care recipient.

11. Medical and emergency disclaimer

The App only records and displays information entered by users. It does not verify measurement accuracy or replace the judgment of physicians, nurses, or other qualified professionals. For medical concerns or emergencies, contact a qualified professional or local emergency service.

12. This policy website

This policy website uses Cloudflare for delivery and security. Cloudflare may process IP addresses, browser information, and request logs to deliver the page and prevent abuse. This website does not use advertising, user accounts, or analytics tracking cookies configured by Tsiaukoo.

13. Changes to this policy

If the App's data practices or applicable requirements materially change, the effective date will be updated and the revised policy will be posted here. New data collection, sharing, or cloud features will be explained before they are enabled.
